Name of Middle Street fatality victim released by Bristol Police, services Saturday in Plainville

The name of the pedestrian struck and killed crossing Middle Street earlier in February was released yesterday by the Bristol Police.

The female pedestrian has been identified as Felicia Emily Yetke, 36, from Bristol, who was struck late on the evening of Feb. 1, and after receiving medical and transported to an area hospital, was pronounced deceased early on the morning of Feb. 2.

Yetke leaves behind two children and her husband, Kyle David Yetke, and parents Silvestre and Stephanie (Henry) Santos, in-laws David and Cheryl Yetke, cousins and many aunts, uncles and friends, according to the obituary.

A 2005 Bristol Central High School graduate, Yetke’s “hard work ethics, strength and determination were evident in every aspect of her life … Felicia was a loving and selfless mother. Her children were the center of her universe.” Her obituary can be found here.

A Celebration of Life, for Yetke, will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 at 12 noon at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., in Plainville. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, preceding the services.

A GoFundMe fundraiser is being conducted to help provide the family “some financial relief during this unimaginable time.” As of Friday evening, 360 donations have been received. For a link, click here.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
