National Weather Service warns high winds are heading to Connecticut. Here’s when and where.

The National Weather Service (NSW) has issued a wind advisory for Hartford County from 7 p.m. this evening through 7 a.m. Thursday, February 29.

Expect winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 50.

The inclement weather should clear up by Thursday morning, with a high of 36 and a mostly sunny sky. Winds will persist, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” according to NWS. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”

Stay safe while driving if you plan on traveling overnight.
