Ramon Alvarado, Jr.

Ramon Alvarado, Jr., 72, of Bristol, husband of Rhonda (Mitchell) Alvarado, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born August 4, 1951, in Salinas, PR, the youngest of 13 children, of the late Ramon Alvarado Sr., and Esperanza Cartagena.

Ramon was a very hard-working man. He was very handy and could fix almost anything. Although he spent most of his career in the metal plating industry, his favorite job was working with his son at Robco Pools. He also enjoyed a good tag sale. Ramon loved his children very much but loved being “Papa” to his grandchildren even more. He was always there, for anyone who needed him, no matter the situation.

He is survived by his son, Raymond Alvarado of Terryville; his daughters, Christine Judd and her husband Christopher of Terryville, Jaime Luisi and her husband Anthony of Harwinton, and Jennifer Christiana and her husband John of Terryville; his brother Luis Gutierrez and his wife Dorothy of Leechburg, PA; his sisters, Clara Resto of Massapequa Park, NY and Margaret Gutierrez of Santa Isabel, PR; his beloved grandchildren, Laura, John, Isabella, Julia, Lily, Aniah, Raymond Jr., Christopher Jr., Gage and Tiara; the mother of his children, Linda Wagner of Terryville, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Monday, February 12, from 4-5:30 PM, with a service at 5:30. Memorial donations may be made in Ramon’s name to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/ct). The family does ask for any floral arrangements to be made through Buell’s Florist, 81 E Main St, Thomaston, CT, to honor a professional relationship Ramon held with them.
