Armand M. Lemieux, 78, of Bristol, beloved husband of Joyce (Cornetski) Lemieux, died on Saturday (February 10, 2024) at home.
Armand was born in Bristol on March 8, 1945 and was the son of the late Jean and Rose (Martel) Lemieux.
A lifelong Bristol resident, he graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1963 before enlisting to serve in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked briefly for Pratt and Whitney before being hired by the Bristol Fire Department. He served the City of Bristol for 42 years retiring as Deputy Chief. In retirement he enjoyed fishing and organic gardening.
In addition to his wife of 60 years this year, Armand is survived by three children: Sheri Lemieux of West Hartford, Michael Lemieux and wife, Patti of Bristol, and Kelly Godreau and husband, Keith of Bristol; a sister: Diane Rich and husband, George of Florida; four grandchildren: Shawn Tanasi and wife, Marissa, Tyler Tanasi, Harleigh and Zoe Godreau; and three nephews. He was predeceased by a sister: Denise Skinner.
Funeral and burial are private per Armand’s wishes.
