Madelaine C. Battisto, 96, widow of James Battisto of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
She was born in Bristol, CT on November 10, 1927 the daughter of the late James and Anna (DiPinto) LaMonico.
Madelaine was the co owner of LaMonico’s Restaurant in Bristol and book keeper at Forestville Lumber and Bristol Electric. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church.
She is survived by her son James Battisto and his wife Clare; her daughter Celia Champeau and her husband Arthur; her grandchildren, Christina Caron, Madelena Houle, Matthew Champeau, Anthony Champeau and Ivan “Barry” Audet; her ten great-grandchildren; her sisters Marie Morin and Mae Ann Dess and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Madelaine was predeceased by her daughter Anne Marie Audet and her granddaughter Gina Battisto- Schleicher.
The family would like to thank her 24 hour healthcare provider Nana Bradley for her loving and compassionate care. Nana will always be a part of our family.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Bristol from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM then to St. Gregory Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
