Raymond T. Barker, 91, of Oakville, formerly of Bristol, beloved husband of Lorraine (Weid) Barker and widower of Dolores (Wilcox) Barker, died on Friday (February 16, 2024) at home.

He enlisted to serve in the United States Navy reserves and during the Korean War his unit was called to active duty serving two years at the Brunswick, GA Blimp Naval Air Base in the payroll (disbursing) department.
Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Maine and worked as a salesman. Seeking a better career, he and Dolores moved to Bristol where he worked for General Electric in Plainville retiring in 1990 after 35 years in a variety of plant management assignments.
Dolores passed away in February 1997 after 46 years of marriage. He remarried in May 2004 to Lorraine (Weid) Barker, the second love of his life.
Always believing in giving back to society and making a difference, he made many contributions to a variety of charities. He was an active member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Bristol, for over 60 years.
