Dorothy (Kuthan) Maske

Dorothy (Kuthan) Maske, 83, of Terryville, widow of Harold Maske, Jr., passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at home. She was born August 14, 1940, in Manhattan, NYC, daughter of the late Anton and Anna Kuthan.

Dorothy aka “Babý” or “Bub,” loved people and talking to everyone. She enjoyed having friends and family over at the house any time. She loved animals, dinners at her house, collecting recipes, crocheting, Myrtle Beach, German music and Polka dancing. She was a huge New York Yankee’s and Duke Blue Devils men's basketball fan. She loved her grandchildren and was well known for her sugar cookies.

Dorothy is survived by her son Karl Maske and his wife Jody of Terryville; her daughter Heidi Maske of Terryville; her grandchildren, Ashley Pencz and her husband Ryan of Harwinton, Justen Jakubiak and his wife Morgan of Reidsville, NC, and Madison, Ryan and Aaron Maske all of Terryville; her great grandson Jameson Pencz and another great grandson on the way.

Family and friends may visit the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, Saturday, March 9, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Terryville. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
