Thomas E. Guerrette

Thomas E. Guerrette, 74, of the Milldale section of Southington, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sheryl A. Jakubiak.

Thomas was born in Southington on May 26, 1949 and was the son of the late Edgar and Lucille (Cyr) Guerrette. He was a graduate of Southington High School and was employed as a groundskeeper at Lake Compounce in Bristol. Thomas was a talented stained-glass maker who loved to share his creations with his friends and family. He was an avid gardener who liked to play golf and also enjoy it as a spectator. He also loved to fish. Thomas was a very caring person especially to children and their families. He was also a member of the BPOE Lodge # 1010 in Bristol.

Besides his wife, he survives by his brother Theodore “Ted” Guerrette and his wife Linda of Boynton Beach, Fl., his niece Kelli Shrewsbury and her husband Jason of St. Albans, ME., his brother in law Kenny Pelletier and his wife Sandra of CT and also by his “fur baby” Sweetie. Thomas was predeceased by his niece Jodi Guerrette.

A funeral home service for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol. Calling hours will be from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the service.
