Richard Paul Amenta

Mr. Richard Amenta, age 74 of Temple, GA, formerly of CT passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his residence.

Richard was born in New Britain, CT the son of the late Joseph Amenta and Anne (Carruba) Amenta. Richard was the loving husband of the late Christine Runkey Amenta whom passed in 2008. He was raised Catholic and retired from The State of Connecticut where he worked as a Social Services Manager for a number of years. Richard enjoyed watching Television and reading the paper.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Sherry Amenta of Temple, GA; grandchildren, Justin Ketchum of Powder Springs, Morgan and Vincente Williams of Temple, GA; great-granddaughter, Olivia Williams of Temple, GA and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Becal and brother Sal Amenta.

Calling hours will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 between the hours of 6PM and 8PM. A funeral will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at O’Brien funeral home starting at 10AM until a service that will begin at 11AM. Burial will follow at Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
