‘Walk & Gather’ in this child and family inclusive program for the month of December. You will have the chance to explore (with Jessica Maak, ELCCT Volunteer) our grounds and collect anything that isn’t still growing (acorns, pinecones, leaf litter, small rocks, sticks, bark that has fallen, dead flowers, etc.) and bring it inside to make a unique piece of collage-based artwork. We will discuss the items we gather and talk about their uses to the local wildlife.

Jessica Maak came to be a volunteer for ELCCT through her own personal interest in environmental education, sustainability, preservation, and the overall joy it gives her to be involved in outreach programs in general. Jessica has worked for DEEP at Sleeping Giant State Forest, Nature’s Classroom, and The National Audubon Society at Bent of the River, and is currently a preschool teacher.
