“Finding Joy in my Journey” - A Multimedia Art Show

Featuring the artwork of: Eileen Norkun

Sunday, June 25th
4:00-6:00 pm

Eileen keeps active with her unique jewelry business of redesigned vintage pins, nature photography, traveling, kayaking and biking around the area. She worked and still volunteers at New England Carousel Museum and is presently a seasonal employee at Indian Rock and Barnes Nature Center. She is also a lifetime member of Girl Scouts. Eileen enjoys spending free time with her Dad, her two children, Tracy and Randy, and her cat, Zelda.

“I have no specific medium that is my favorite, but I lean towards nature photography. Thanks to digital cameras, I have thousands of pictures, most of which are nature related. I have exhibited them in several area shows and galleries, and even sold a few. My favorites adorn almost every room in my home."

“There is something special about capturing that one shot. Nature is so fleeting that I have the desire to preserve it through film. Photographs may be a way for us to preserve Nature - not destroy it.”

Praise for “Things Unsaid” by Diana Y Paul:

“Things Unsaid is a powerfully written story that explores the moral dilemma of love, duty, and sacrifice for the family you are born into versus the family you create as an adult. Jules, the well-etched protagonist, seeks to find her way through the tangled tentacles of her mother’s narcissism, her father’s weakness, and her siblings’ secrets and selfishness. This tale of relationships grabs you on the first page and stays with you long after you’ve read the last words.”
