Through this series of multi-media presentations by Tom Dickau, Past-President of the Bristol Historical Society, you will learn about the Village of Forestville, founded in 1833, and see how the area contributed significantly to the development of the Bristol community. Join ELCCT volunteer and preschool teacher, Jessica Maack, and learn about Orienteering – the sport of navigating with maps, gps, and compass. Jessica is a Master Wildlife Conservationist through CT DEEP and has worked as an environmental educator for both Audubon CT and Nature’s Classroom.

Public Year Book Exhibit at Bristol History Room

On Saturday, January 20, 2018, 9:30 AM--11:30, the Bristol History Room will feature a photo exhibit drawn from the library's collection of public high school year books. The exhibit will include photographs such as sports, teacher, prom, and graduation pictures from the Bristol High School Torch, The Bristol Central Torch and the Bristol Eastern Lance. The public yearbook collection has Bristol High School yearbooks from 1930 and every Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern yearbook. The Bristol History Room is located on the second level of the Bristol Public Library, 5 High Street, Bristol, CT. For information, visit the library or call: (860) 584-7787 x 2005.
