Musical duo TWO RIGHT FEET presents “Be a Superhero Day”
Date: Thursday, February 15, 2018 (Event Views: 1,850)

Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. the musical duo TWO RIGHT FEET presents “Be a Superhero Day” in the Children’s Department!

Our fun and exciting superhero theme is: what makes a superhero? Beginning with superhero accessorizing rhyme that gets the children ready to be a superhero for the day (school readiness activity involving counting money to pay for a cape, goggles, and the works). Then the dramatic and musical reading of Born to Read by Judy Sierra: we learn about superhero, Sam, and how he uses his superpower of reading to save the day in Sunny Skies. Children engage in a team-building and literacy promoting guessing game where the “it” child selected (by way of musical ‘hot potato’) reads a short clue of a famous mystery superhero. Children get up and dance as they help choreograph the Superhero Boogie based on the song “When You’re Happy and You Know It”.

FREE and sponsored by the Bristol School Readiness Council!
