Yoga for Clothing   (17,955 Views)

Yoga for Clothing

December 1 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

How often do we go about our lives, unconcerned about our next meal or if we’ll have warm clothing and shelter for the impending cold months? The holiday season is especially difficult for many people, those without jobs, food, homes, or loved ones to help. This way of life is very trying, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally & spiritually.

Let’s lend a helping hand to our fellow humans in need. We are asking our community of yogis & yoginis to band together and donate new or gently used winter clothing from the requested list below. All items will be donated to Brian’s Angels Homeless Outreach in Bristol.

In exchange for this compassionate & loving act of support for our community, we would like to invite you to join us in a very special, 90-minute Yoga Class. This all levels class will begin with a Vinyasa-style yoga flow, followed by restorative yoga, infused with essential oils & inspired readings, and topped off with a guided mediation. In addition to this class offering, each donor participant will be entered into a raffle which will be announced at the end of class.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. All levels welcome. Simply bring your clothing donation to class that day, along with your yoga mat.

Clothing that is needed by Brian’s Angels at this time is clothing for ADULTS of ALL GENDERS & ALL SIZES, particularly:
– Heavy Gloves (NOT fleece)
– Heavy Socks
– Thermal Underwear
– Underwear
– Used Shoes & Boots (particularly for Winter months)
– Anything else you can give will be accepted with gratitude

Class led by Sara Gelpke
