Brain Fog: want to learn more about brain fog?  (14,098 Views)

Brain Fog - This Saturday, June 2, 2018
You are invited to come and visit Medical Arts Health and Nutrition Center this Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 140 Pine Street, Bristol. Dr. Stephen Piechota is here to answer your questions. The center will be opened from 10:00am to 4:00pm. (stop in at your convenience)

Brain fog includes symptoms of confusion, forgetfulness, lack of both focus and mental clarity. I will provide you with information as to its causes, symptoms and ways to reverse it. Having brain fog is fairly common as more and more people are complaining about this condition.

When you feel foggy, unfocused and have an inability to think, your brain is sending a signal that there’s an imbalance in your life. Brain fog is categorized either as lifestyle-related or as a side effect of a medical condition or medication.

Dr. Stephen Piechota received his B.S. from University of Connecticut School of Pharmacology, and his Doctorate of Clinical Therapeutics Degree from Idaho State University. He practiced pharmaceutical medicine for 40 years before he retired from that profession to pursue his dream of bringing real healthcare and enlightenment to his fellow-man. To further his knowledge in the art of holistic healing, Dr. Steve has taken comprehensive training in clinical nutrition and naturopathic medicine, as well as read and studied countless books on the subject.

Hypothyroidism  (4,332 Views)

Hypothyroidism
Low thyroid function, known as hypothyroidism, is caused for a variety of reasons: underproduction of thyroid hormones (T4 and T3); poor conversion of T4 to T3 (active intracellular form) due to high cortisol levels resulting from stress; immune dysfunction that results in antibodies attacking thyroid tissue; assaults on the thyroid by environmental factors (e.g. low iodine intake, toxic air, fluoridated water, GMO foods, etc.)

Signs & Symptoms: Hypothyroidism is very common, with nearly 20% of women and 10% of men in the United States being affected. The most common symptoms are: depression; fatigue; cold hands and feet; thinning, lifeless hair; puffy eyelids in the morning; loss of outer eyebrows; weight gain; dry skin; brain fog; menstrual problems; constipation; forgetfulness; goiter; slow heart rate; and adrenal exhaustion

Here at Medical Arts Health and Nutrition Center located in Bristol, Dr. Stephen Piechota has helped many patrons. I encourage you to stop in this Thursday anytime between 10am to 5:30pm. "Where we can put you on a new path to better health. Via Nova means a new path.”

ZUMBA at the Carousel Museum   (1,227 Views)

ZUMBA at the Carousel Museum

June 26 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

As part of our Take Care Tuesdays the Carousel Museum is continuing to offer Zumba with Marisa Murray.

Marisa Murray, licensed ZUMBA Fitness instructor, was born to a ballerina mother in Indonesia. Though dance was in her blood, Marisa found that Ballet was not for her. She began her journey in search of the dance style that best fit her which ultimately led to Zumba. Zumba classes at Valley Ballet & Dance Fitness fulfilled her passion for dance while also benefiting her health benefits in a fun and exciting way. Encouraged by others to become an instructor, Marisa found her calling. With a BA from University of Hartford in Graphic Design and an artistic talent Marisa found Zumba instruction to be a creative outlet. Marisa’s Zumba class features energetic creative dance choreography with a focus on total fitness.
