FREE Artist Reception - “Frolic” by Elizabeth Ann McNally
Sunday, February 17, 2019
3-5pm
Location:
Harry C. Barnes Memorial Nature Center
175 Shrub Road
Bristol, CT 06010
Join us for a free exhibit of artwork that will warm you this winter with smiles and good humor! Elizabeth Ann McNally is an artist and printmaker whose narrative work explores the nature of animals in a fun whimsical way. Her abstract art explores the color relationships reflected in the natural world focusing on the properties of the material and compositional elements.
Enjoy a botanical printmaking demonstration with collagraph printmaking using texture and collage to create a uniquely different kind of print. Elizabeth will walk you through how to create, ink, and print a collagraph plate created from easily accessed materials such as pressed leaves and flowers.
Elizabeth Ann McNally is an artist and printmaker residing in New Britain. She chooses to work in both narrative and nonrepresentational content. Key elements in her narrative work are animals, humor, and the graphic use of line. In her nonrepresentational art, color, line, pattern and the properties of the material and medium are the sole focus of compositions. Light refreshments provided.
