Music Among the Memorials  (36,252 Views)

On Sunday, May 26th at 2PM, there will be a live concert on the Memorial Boulevard in Bristol featuring music from the Revolutionary War through Vietnam.
It will combine both popular home front music and military songs of the day with an emphasis on World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam.

The performance will feature lead singer Wanda Houston who has lived and performed professionally throughout the U.S. and Europe, on Broadway stages, in films, recordings and television. She has worked in varying capacities with
Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, John Tuturro, Eddie Izzard, Natalie Cole, Eartha Kitt, Patti LaBelle, Sam Harris and on the stages of the Pasadena Playhouse, Universal Studios, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall.

Wanda will be accompanied by the Scott Heth quintet.
The concert is a joint presentation of the Bristol Historical Society and Team Bristol and is open to the public. Admission
is free.

Parking will be allowed on the Memorial Boulevard for easy access to the concert site. Bring your own chair or blanket
and be aware that no food or drinks are allowed. Enjoy a trip down memory lane as we listen to the music that was
popular through the centuries during America’s fight for independence and freedom.
