Bristol/Forestville Historian, Tom Dickau, will present the second in a series of multi-media programs utilizing an extensive collection of negatives, glass slides and other artifacts donated to the presenter. Bristol/Forestville images (400-500 or more), many never seen before, will be utilized. Program Two will start with a brief review of the first, then go on to cover more of Moulthrop’s self-described personal life, depicted in ten years of diary recordings. The program will also describe the industrial and educational development of our community, as seen through the lens of his camera. Free. Please preregister.

Sensory Day at Imagine Nation  (75,514 Views)

Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center located at One Pleasant Street in Bristol will hold the second annual Sensory Day at Imagine Nation on Tuesday, June 25th from 9:30am-12:30pm.

Sensory Day at Imagine Nation is FREE for participants, thanks to a generous grant from the McPhee Foundation. Sensory Day is designed for children with special or sensory processing needs and their families.

In addition to a sensory-friendly museum environment with lowered lighting and sound, Sensory Day will feature interactive sensory-friendly workshops including Starter Circuits, Sensory Bottles, Floam Shaping, Paper Marbling, Pet and Play with Sawyer the Rabbit, and a Group Yoga class with Heather Tartarelli at 10:30am. The museum studios will close when Sensory Day concludes at 12:30pm.

Rockin Out at Rockwell- Summer Concert Series
June 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bristol Parks and Recreation department, with sponsorship from a variety of community agencies will be holding an 8 week “Rockin Out at Rockwell- Summer Concert Series”. The free concerts are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00- 8:30 pm at the Rockwell Park Amphitheatre starting June 25th-August 20th.
We invite families and people of all ages to come out and enjoy the wide variety of music offered each week ranging from country, swing, Pop and so much more! There are plenty of seats at the amphitheater but we encourage you to bring lawn chairs, a blanket and snacks to enjoy a picnic in the park to the backdrop of amazing bands. Please note: Alcohol is not permitted in the parks.

Rain dates will be held on Wednesdays weather permitting. There is no concert scheduled for the week of July 4.
