Home School Day at Imagine Nation returns on September 26th!

Workshops to bring out your inner artist:

10:30 am - Observational Drawing – Crested Gecko – Learn about crested geckos as you use the elements of art and your powers of observation to draw a live creature – Art Studio

11:30 am – Collage – This type of art has been used for many years by Master Artists like Picasso, bring a picture or newspaper clipping or poem or anything that is interesting to you to incorporate into your collage! – Art Studio

12:30 pm – Watercolor Landscapes – Learn watercolor techniques to create a beautiful landscape. You will learn the techniques, but as the Artist, you will choose your colors! – Art Studio

1:30 pm – Miniature Sculpture – Using plaster craft, create a miniature sculpture of a bird or fruit or a little volcano or something else that is interesting to you. When it dries you can paint it or color it! – Art Studio

2:30 pm – Observational Drawing – Cats and Dogs – Using manikins, learn to draw cats and dogs. You can add different features such as long hair or a fluffy tail to personalize your drawing! – Art Studio

Workshops space is limited to the first 25 children to arrive to each workshop.

Walk-in rate: $10 per person ages 1+
All participants must pre-register and submit payment by Monday, September 23rd to receive the special admission rate. No Refunds will be provided.
Home School Event Rate: $7.00 per person ages 1+, FREE for members! https://bpt.me/4326353

Advance registration required for reduced rate: purchase tickets online or skip the processing fees & call 860-314-1400 to purchase over the phone.

Please note that ACM reciprocal and Library passes are accepted for this event. (ACM/Library discounts are based on full-priced admission of $10/ per person)

Workshops are limited to the first 25 participants- purchasing a ticket in advance ensures a discounted rate, but does not guarantee a seat in a workshops.

Our museum studios are designed for children ages 2-8. Older and younger siblings are welcome to attend!

United Way "Shoes with Heart" Collection

Continues through Oct. 9, 2019
Donate your gently worn shoes, sandals, work boots, ballet shoes, sneaks and cleats. All men's, woman's and children shoes accepted.
Shoes will be re-purposed to other organizations locally and abroad through a non-profit group. The monies raised by United Way of West Central CT will support programming and initiatives on health, education and financial stability in the region we serve, Bristol, Burlington, Plainville and Plymouth.

Drop off at United Way office, 440 No. Main St.; Agape House, 43 School St., Bristol; Beacon Pharmacy, 57 South St. Bristol; Bristol, Senior Centers in Bristol, Burlington and Plainville; Bristol Farmers' Market- Saturdays through Oct. 5; Creative Kitchen & Bath Design, Burlington, during business hours; Grace Baptist Church, 736 King St., Bristol; St. Andrews Church, 1125 Stafford Ave. Bristol; Thomaston Savings Bank, Farmington Ave. and Middle Street branches.
