Donate your gently worn shoes, sandals, work boots, ballet shoes, sneaks and cleats. All men's, woman's and children shoes accepted.
Shoes will be re-purposed to other organizations locally and abroad through a non-profit group. The monies raised by United Way of West Central CT will support programming and initiatives on health, education and financial stability in the region we serve, Bristol, Burlington, Plainville and Plymouth.
Drop off at United Way office, 440 No. Main St.; Agape House, 43 School St., Bristol; Beacon Pharmacy, 57 South St. Bristol; Bristol, Senior Centers in Bristol, Burlington and Plainville; Bristol Farmers' Market- Saturdays through Oct. 5; Creative Kitchen & Bath Design, Burlington, during business hours; Grace Baptist Church, 736 King St., Bristol; St. Andrews Church, 1125 Stafford Ave. Bristol; Thomaston Savings Bank, Farmington Ave. and Middle Street branches.

Page Park is the place to be this fall, as Page Park Pavilion turns into a teen center. Come enjoy a new adventure each week. Teen Night Social offers activities like movie nights, pottery, games, cooking, trips and more. Ages 13-17. Fee varies per week/activity.

Sept. 27 – Make your own pottery night: Enjoy a night of making your own clay creations. No experience with clay needed. We provide all supplies needed. $10
Oct. 4 – Food & Fun Cooking Class: Cooking Class & Dinner. $10
Oct. 11 – Pumpkin Carving Contest: Pumpkin carving/painting contest. Pumpkins and tools are built into the fee. No need to bring anything but your creativity. $10
Oct. 18 – Lake Compounce Halloween Night: Spend a spooky night with friends at the Lake Compounce Haunted Halloween Trail. We will meet at 5:30 in the Page Park Pavilion. $40
Oct. 25 – Haunted Lantern Tour at Cedar Hill Cemetery: Haunted Lantern Tour at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Bring warm clothes and your sense of mystery. We meet in the Page Park Pavilion at 5:30. $10
Nov. 1 – Extreme Game Night Challenge: The top 3 teens with the most points at the end of the night wins a prize. – outdoor scavenger hunt – Corn hole – Giant jenga – racing video game – three legged race – egg drop competition – Fire making competition. $7
