(155,235 Views) | 3rd Annual Mayor’s Back to School Pencil Hunt | The 3rd Annual Mayor’s Back to School Pencil Hunt, for children grades Pre-K-8, will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Muzzy Field from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The annual event for Bristol families features a pencil hunt for prizes that include Leapfrog Academy, an Amazon Fire, a Kindle, a Chromebook, a TI84 calculator, binders, notebooks, pens, and more, according to the release announcing the event.
The event is free, but requires registration ahead of time through the Bristol Parks and Recreation website, www.bristolrec.com.
The event will follow safety guidelines, including staggering participants by age groupings to allow for cleaning. Further information is also available on the Parks and Rec website and should be reviewed prior to attending the event.
Local sponsors include First Bristol Federal Credit Union, Bristol Plaza and Shop-Rite of Bristol among others.
The rain date is set for Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | |
